The liquor laws in Georgia are fairly simple. They regulate the age (which is 21) you need to be to buy alcohol as well as what is required to sell liquor or serve it. There is even a set of rules and regulation for those wanting to become a bartender.
A new one that seems to have some opposition allows for limousine drivers to sell cocktails to their passengers. If this passes, then it may eventually reach other states and companies including Denver Limo companies. Whether this change is good or not is totally subjective, but let’s look at the past of allowing liquor into limousines.
Previously, limousine companies (this includes Denver limo companies) were not required by law to carry a liquor license due to the fact hat passengers in the limos did not buy the liquor being served, it was given. The cost of the liquor itself was usually included in the limousine rental purchase price. On the other hand, some limousine companies (these might include several Denver limo companies) do not offer liquor, but don’t care if their clients bring it along on their limo ride.
A Denver limo company is under the same laws and regulation as every other limo company or general business as they provide a limo service to the public and have a responsibility to the laws and regulations set in place. However, if you decide to take a bottle of champagne or liquor on your limousine ride, make sure to check to see if the limo company has a liquor license.
The idea of a limo driver serving drinks and acting as a bartender is an interesting one, but it’s always a future possibility in the Denver limo business. You’ll have to ask yourself: will there be cocktail waitresses in your limo? Are there any state laws against this sort of thing? Will I spill my drink while riding in the limousine? Are there any minors there?
Either way you go, a limousine company should carry some regulations for managing alcohol in their limos.
